Over de opdracht

As a zBar Employee, you will be working in a creative and inspiring environment on the sixth floor of the Witte Dame building. You will be part of an enthusiastic team of seven. In the open kitchen you will prepare a varied range of breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes for students, employees and DAE visitors. In addition to this, you will take care of the catering for degree award ceremonies and meetings, etc. Our selection is international in character, in line with the student population comprising many nationalities. We primarily use sustainable ingredients. As a chef, you will have plenty of opportunity for your creativity in our selection; there is lots of space for own initiative and personal development.

You contribute towards the design and selection of new dishes, try out new recipes and prepare dishes independently. When asked, you advise your customers regarding dietary wishes. You prepare and serve dishes at special events or meetings and supervise the planning and management of hired staff and students. You take care of the management and organisation of the zBar and contribute to ideas for new initiatives. In addition, you manage necessary maintenance (internal and outsourced) and cleaning, and contribute towards the kitchen administration (for example financial and within the scope of regulations regarding hygiene).

Your working days will vary every week. You will be covering colleaguas days off and work at events such as our graduation ceremony.
